I've got a number of places online that I tend to roost in, exploring various facets of my life, but this LJ here is pretty much my "furry" journal, catering to that part of me. It's not all of who I am, but it does play an important part, and to deny that would be to deny a part of myself.

So, a little bit about me.

I'm a 22-year-old female thylacine, graduate school drop-out, fly-by-night novelist with pretensions of grandeur. I've always had furry tendencies; as a young child, I had anthropomorphic animal imaginary friends, including one who was my alter-ego of sorts. I discovered the furry community when I was about 11, when I started spending time online and learned about roleplaying. It immediately caught my interest, and I've been sort of a furry-community lurker ever since.

I finally came "out of the kennel", as it were, last year, when I decided (to an extent) that furry was legitimately a lifestyle choice and personal philosophy as much as a hobby or an interest. For the most part, my friends are all supportive and amused by it. They patiently put up with my tendency to assign them all fursonas, are intrigued by my anthro-art and fursuiting endeavors, and my boyfriend is happy to indulge in my kinks.

I'm interested most in the artistic aspects of the community. At some point, I'd love to sell fursuits for a little extra cash, as well as find venues to perform or generally just hang out with other furs.
